Over the last half century Metropolitan Family Service has moved from a single service agency to provide multiple distinct, but related services that meet the ever-changing needs of our community.

Our mission is to strengthen families and individuals while enhancing their participation in community life.

What We Do

• Strengthen Families - safe, engaging, learning centers for children, families, and neighborhoods

• Link Generations - mentoring and one-on-one attention for children provided by older adult volunteers
• Promote Health Education - resources and education to promote health
• Build Family Support - parent involvement and strong, functioning families fostered
• Create Volunteer Connections - meaningful volunteer opportunities to engage people of all ages
• Support Independence - services that assist isolated older adults and people with disabilities
